The Spring 2016 Haiti team experienced many different aspects of Haiti. We attended a local community church in the community of Gressier on Easter Sunday, visited an orphanage engaging with children who wanted to help us with various maintenance needs, produced and finished concrete side by side with Haitian workers and seminary students and painted a house for a single mother and her child. The most impactful moment of the trip was walking through the doorway of STEP seminary into the slums of Port-au-Prince and seeing the impact this organization is making in their neighboring community both physically and spiritually.
